Busy 24 hours here…well not busy, busy, just…anyway, here’s what I finished:
TV Shows:
THE FLASH S4 (Netflix): In double time it went very quickly (a testament to how much time I spend on my desktop these days). No crossovers with ARROW so that’s good; I’m starting up the last season of ARROW now.
THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE (Netflix): watched in normal time since there’s so much to take in and need to pay attention to all the ghosts that appear. I actually binged episode 3-10 all Friday morning. This was an excellent series…highly recommend for the horror fan (there are a couple of scenes that freak me out when I think about them, but I can sleep at night so not that scary…for me anyway). Was hoping for a darker ending (as I always do), but I get with what they were going with there.
Adam Sandler’s 100% FRESH (Netflix): Not a Sandler fan, but I had heard so much about his tribute to Chris Farley so I wanted to see this. Tribute comes right near the 1 hour mark (if you just want to skip to it; might also be on YouTube), and it is very touching. I miss Farley.
AMERICAN VANDAL S2 (Netflix): Actually finished this Thursday morning. I mentioned the first season last year as being very good. This season was okay and just as outrageous as the first, but not quite as good. The show is pretty quick at only 30 min/episode.
Movies:
MANDY (Redbox) – I had heard a lot about this one and wanted to catch it in a theater when it played here in a couple of theaters. It’s very weird and odd…almost indescribable. I guess if you’re a big Nick Cage fan this would be something to watch, but it’s definitely out there and very graphic in terms of violence. I get all the MANDY memes now though…on Film Twitter I mean.
THE SPY WHO DUMPED ME (Redbox): Ah, Mila Kunis…so cute…a couple of laughs, but nothing extraordinary out of this comedy.
I might do some more Redbox rentals since they’re offering 5X points this weekend. Plus I now need 8 more rentals before the end of the year to maintain Legend status on there.
